Dr Yasir Noorani (BDS, MFDS RCS, Dip Imp Dent RCS – Dental Surgeon) works at the practice full-time. He continues to strive to give the best to his patients. He believes in quality and works hard to get the best possible results. His experience and practice set him apart from most general dentists as he is able to offer his patients a wide array of treatment options including dental implants, smile makeovers and brace treatments.

He has significant experience of general practice, implant dentistry and aesthetic dentistry including clear braces. He has worked in Restorative Dentistry at the Dundee Dental Hospital where he developed a passion for more complex dentistry many years ago .He secured his postgraduate membership of the Royal College of Surgeons, which in those days required competence and experience alongside postgraduate exams. He is very creative and is happy to find a solution to ‘any’ problem.

Yasir completed a certificate in implant dentistry at the Implant Institute at Harley Street, working alongside one of the leading implantologists in the country for 2 years. After significant experience and competence, he attained a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons.

With his vast experience in Cosmetic Dentistry and Implants Yasir is able to provide a comprehensive treatment plan to all our patients.Yasir takes a caring approach and aims to explain all treatment options effectively to ensure that the patient has input and is comfortable in the decision that he/she makes.


Dr. Mariam Shahid Noorani

Dr Mariam Shahid Noorani (BSc, BDS, MFDS RCSEd, MSc(Ortho Lond), MOrth RCSEd – Specialist Orthodontist)Mariam is an Orthodontic specialist and takes a keen interest in the fine details of finishing a smile. She works at the practice part time and spends most of her time at the Ipswich and Royal London Hospitals where she is training to be a consultant in orthodontics. She is a keen teacher and enjoys the complex work in the hospital environment. During this time she is seen less at the practice but still plays her part in the management of the practice.

Mariam completed her specialist training and Masters with distinction from Kings College Hospital. She has worked in both practice and hospital. She has experience of Oral and maxillofacial, Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry. In 2009 after securing her postgraduate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and of England she returned to work in practice. Mariam worked in Special care dentistry for a year looking after children, phobic adults and adults and children with special needs. She takes a gentle approach and aims to explain and discuss treatment options effectively with patients to formulate a well-understood treatment plan. Her main interests are Orthodontics (Braces), Oral surgery (wisdom teeth) and minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Jagjoth Vasir

GDC No: 265186- Works 5 days a week with Gossops Drive Dental Practice.

  • Works at the practice full time
  • Since graduating from Cardiff University in 2016, she went on to complete her vocational training within Crawley before moving to        Gossops drive dental practice
  • She is currently undertaking a diploma in Primary Care Dentistry with the University of Kent
  • Jaggi Regularly attends postgraduate training days and has an interest in restorative dentistry and working with anxious patients.
  • Jaggi is kind and calm and caring nature which makes her good working with nervous patients and children.

Dr. Asiah Elmedhem

GDC No: 442992

  • Asiah qualified from the university of Dundee in 2010 and was awarded the British society of restorative dentistry award in her final year. This initiated her interest in restorative dentistry.
  • Asiah has special interest in achieving safe, conservative cosmetic treatments using simple orthodontic appliances to create natural, beautiful smiles.
  • When not in the Surgery Asiah can be found training at the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Shirley Jones -Senior Dental Nurse and Reception

Shirley is our lead dental nurse at Gossops Drive, she started her first dental job straight after leaving school and she qualified at Charles Clifford dental hospital in Sheffield and has been doing nursing for many years. Shirley became a part of the team at Gossops drive dental practice in June 2015. Her particular strength is in making her patients feel at ease during their treatments and has worked in a paediatric department so is very good at working with children, she is also qualified in working with sedation, implants and other major  aspects of dentistry. Shirley started off with Gossops drive dental practice part time and also worked at Special Care Dentistry in the local hospital but has since become a full time member of our team and has looked after the clinical running of the practice since she started working here. Shirley works on reception and Nurses at the practice, she is always here to give our patients advice and help in any way that she can.

Jasmine-Marie Jones- Trainee Dental Nurse

Jasmine is our trainee dental nurse and started part time with us in Feb 2017, then went full time to cover maternity leave in June 2017. She has been training with us just over a year now, and with starting with no dental knowledge at all, she has picked things up very quickly in a short amount of time.

Jasmine is very welcoming and friendly which puts all of our patients at ease, she is looking to start the dental nurse course and qualification in September 2018.

Natalie MacDonald

Natalie joined the team part time at Gossops Drive Dental Practice Nov 2014, but progressed on to working full time with us by Jan 2015, she quickly became the familiar face and voice to the practice and the person that all the patients recognized when they called up or came in. Natalie worked full time at the practice for nearly 4 years, converted the practice from running with everything in paper forms over to being fully digital and managed all the paperwork, files, accounts and staff at the practice, and helped the practice run smoothly through a total practice renovation and a new second surgery being put in. She then went on to have Twins in 2017 and took 9 months Maternity leave and re-joined us part time 3 days a week in Feb 2018. Her role in Gossops drive dental practice along with working on reception is to make sure that the patients feel cared for, appreciated, valued, respected and always happy to visit the practice again. Natalie just completed a university online degree in Business Management and administration in July 2018 and is always considering whether or not to start the dental nursing course and qualification. When not at work Natalie enjoys many family holidays in different countries, and spending time with her 3 daughters.
